Woman files personal injury lawsuit after car accident
Car accidents occur throughout the St. Louis area every day. The extent of the damage inflicted in each crash as well as the way they unfold varies widely depending on the circumstances surrounding each incident. Regardless of whether the incident is a head-on collision or another vehicle is rear-ended, serious injuries could be the end result.
When someone suffers a serious injury in a car accident it can be difficult to know where to turn. While healing from one’s injuries is of course the first priority, many also experience stress tied to expenses that accumulate as a result of those injuries. Accordingly, when the negligence of another person is to blame for an injury inducing accident, some people decide to file a personal injury lawsuit.
Recently a St. Louis area woman, who was seriously injured when a car struck her from behind earlier this year, filed one of these lawsuits. In it, she alleges the driver of the vehicle that struck her acted in a negligent manner, leading to the accident. It is unclear what caused the man’s vehicle to strike her car.
The woman is seeking damages for loss of income and the medical expenses that accrued as a result of the incident. In addition, she is asking for court fees. In total, she is seeking more than $50,000. While a successful outcome in this case would not make things the way they were before the incident occurred, it may make the recovery easier. This is likely what the woman is hoping to accomplish.
